about

Kevin had some personal shit going on he was wrestling with and like any artist, turned to music to exorcize those demons. I realize there was some projection here but the music saved him and I was in a unique position to help him though these times.

Kevin drove this pretty much this entire piece with me observing and some mild background production, head nodding agreements, and simultaneous suggestions. That was the thing about Kevin and I. We gelled instantly. We finished each other's thoughts and sentences. I have quite a few hand written letters and even faxes from the years we corresponded when he left the states showing that Kevin took the time to continue our relationship for quite some time.

Eventually we both grew in directions to further ourselves, checking in everyone once in a while. I only wish I had done more as I'm sure he did as well.

BTW, that drone throughout the entire song that pitch bends down, then eventually back up? That the Casio CZ-3000 - held the entire time. One of was doing that. Or both...
